Week 6 Day 3

WOOHOO!!!!! :D I finished week 6 today and I'm so excited about moving forward to week 7!! It was actually a struggle for me to finish the 25min run, but I did it and that's all that matters to me at this point. I'm still getting prepared for the Color Me Rad 5k run next month and I've gotta stay focused.

I'm still having problems with not stretching my legs enough before I start running. They still get achey while I'm running and that's absolutely no fun! I thought it was my shoes, but I switched them today and, yep, just as I figured, it's not the shoes, it's ME:-O!! So, I've gotta find a way to stretch for longer and more efficiently before my next walk/run, which will be either tomorrow or Monday, I'm not sure yet!

For the next 3 weeks of the C25k, there are nooooo walking breaks[-O< That's gonna be ROUGH!! But I've been making sure I'm walk/running in areas that have some hills because I don't know how the course next month will be. One run I've done before had so may hills, I thought I'd never get to the end of the run! Geesh!! My goal is to make sure my legs and feet are strong enough to make it up the hills as well as having the endurance to run and NOT walk;)

Week 6 Day 2

Consistency is keying to reaching and achieving my goals!!!
All I know is, I'm at a point now where I don't like NOT running!! Even though I know my body needs a rest, but I don't wanna rest!! I wanna reach my goal of running and make it an everyday part of my life! I wanna be an example for my family members so they'll know how much losing weight will help with many health issues my family suffers with. For instance, diabetes runs in my family and I absolutely don't wanna develop all! Two of my aunts have diabetes and thank goodness they have it managed. I have another aunt who just had stents put in because she had a heart attack a couple of weeks ago!
My health is, and has been, a major concern for me. I've got a hormone imbalance which is caused by PCOS! I've been able to lose weight, but I've got so much more weight to lose. There's no stopping me now! Running is just the beginning and I have health on my mind!!!

Week 6 day 1

Wow...4 more weeks left and I should be able to run 30mins without stopping...hopefully! I've got other areas of my training that I gotta improve but for now this will do.
I didn't Think I was going to be able to run today because I injured my toe  yesterday. I was getting a beer out of my refrigerator for a friend, while we were watching the super bowl, and I dropped the darn thing on my big toe! It hurt so bad I thought I was going to have to go to the emergency room! Fortunately I did not have to go to the emergency room, but I took some aleve and and tried to go to sleep. However, my toe was hurting so badly, I was not able to have a good night sleep. But I feel much better now and I was able to push thru my run.

A Change in Direction

I think I'm gonna focus a little bit more on my eating! Eating is a huge part of weight loss and I haven't been putting too much info in my posts about my foods. Yeah, I've tried to post a few food pics here and there, but starting today, the first day of February, I'm gonna really utilize my phone app for blogger and really start taking advantage of the resources I have. I also plan to find similar blogs and as well as researching ways to manage my PCOS and hormone imbalance. So again, once I get the hang of how I want to navigate my blog, I'll start adding more pages and more information.

I just feel as though I'm pulling myself in all different directions. I'll be starting a part time job on Feb. 18 and I'm kinda stressing out about it LOL! I don't wanna burn myself out and not have the energy to workout and run. But I'm gonna make the best out of it and do the best I can. The outcome is more money to do more things, buy better foods, and at some point in time, buy more clothes WOOHOO!!

So that's all for now! I'm gonna go to bed so I can get my mind right to start getting up on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30am...yes, I said A.M. But I'm gonna make the best of it because God allowed me to be blessed with the extra income!! Let's get it!!
